Relax and get closer to nature with Trossachs Yurts –
The perfect place for an escape and to enjoy a slow getaway.

Trossachs Yurts can be found nestled in the beautiful countryside close to the small village of Thornhill, near Stirling – just over an hour’s travel from the big cities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

Our Yurts are set in the stunning landscape of our 150 acre organic conservation farm on the edge of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park – providing a great location for close encounters with the natural world, walking, cycling and enjoying this part of Scotland.

Head off the beaten track and go down the country lane that leads you towards West Moss-side Organic Farm. After crossing the bridge over the Goodie Water, you’ll find our farm and the three secluded 18ft diameter traditional Krygyk design Yurts.

From the decking of each yurt there are panoramic big-sky views to the west across Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve to Ben Lomond and the Arrochar Alps. The views also extend north to the mountains of the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park – Ben Ledi, Ben Vorlich and Stuc a’ Chroin.

All three of our yurts are set on large decking areas, complete with barbeque.
The steading at West Moss-side Farm has private kitchen and washroom facilities for our guests, along with an art gallery in the hayloft!

Time for some quality family reconnecting – with the option for booking two yurts together.

Here at Trossachs Yurts, we have three spacious, off-grid, fully equipped self catering Yurts available from Easter through to the end of October.

Each Yurt sleeps up to 4 adults, or 5 with children / From £125.00 per night / Private kitchen and washroom facilities.

The Stuc a’Chroin Yurt is accessible, while our Ben Lomond Yurt is dog friendly.
(Ben Ledi yurt is only bookable along with Ben Lomond yurt – as a group you will share the bathroom and the kitchen).

Our Farm

West Moss-side Organic farm is set in the stunning landscape of the Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve.

West Moss-side is a working farm with rare breed Shetland cattle grazing on the stunning landscape of the Flanders Moss National Nature Reserve: a huge peat bog – a conservation area rich in its biodiversity. You can also treat yourself to some West Moss-side organic beef and a jar of Mad Hare Apiary Honey.

We offer a truly magical atmosphere to all – welcoming friends, lovers, writers, painters, photographers, walkers and bird watchers. We also cater for tree climbers, den-builders, kite-flyers – and grown ups too!

“It was incredible, from the minute we arrived I felt a strong sense of peace and harmony the same you get when you go on a retreat. The location is amazing – so tranquil. There’s nature, wildlife and animals all around, and the yurts have everything you need for a luxury camping trip”

Nadia – June 2021

“What a fantastic place! So scenic, peaceful, private and well equipped. We loved staying here and our toddler was in heaven running along the raised walkway and talking to the cows. We really enjoyed seeing the animals on the farm and exploring the willow maze. We would love to come back and hire a couple of the yurts at the same time for the family to stay in.”

Emma – June 2021

“If you want to get away from it all, this is the place to be. Everything was perfect”.

Karen – July 2021

“Wonderful and welcoming experience from beginning to end. Kate was there to greet us and show us around the site. Beautiful, spacious and clean yurt with fabulous use of a private kitchen and bathroom facilities. The most beautiful peaceful mornings. The wood burning stove worked a treat and kept us nice and cosy on a chilly autumn weekend. We all had a wonderful time”.
